The 2023-2024 State Project for the NC Society Children of the American Revolution is “Flight for Freedom’s Heroes”.
The project is supporting the Triad Flight of Honor organization, which honors veterans for their service and sacrifice. Each honor flight takes the veterans to the memorials in Washington, DC. Throughout the day, they are recognized and honored everywhere they go. The highlight is the welcome home celebration at the airport when they return. Hundreds of people attend, wave flags, say thank you, and there is so much patriotism! The next flight is scheduled for Wed, Sept. 27, 2023, at the Greensboro/PTI airport.
I have a deep appreciation for veterans and don’t think we can say “thank you” enough. I wanted to select an organization that shared that same view, which is why I selected the Triad Flight of Honor. My goal is to raise $3,000 to sponsor 5 veterans and their guardians on an honor flight. I appreciate your support.
