Samantha Grace McCrary, Debutante, March 23, 2019

Miss McCrary joins us from the Colonel Balfour Society.

Samantha graduated as her class Valedictorian from the Uwharrie Charter Academy in Asheboro, North Carolina with a 4.8 GPA. She was an on-line student of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in 2016 through 2018.

While in high school she was a member of the Science Olympiad and the Key Club. She was/is also a member of Mock Trial of which she was captain from 2014 through 2018. She was captain of the Science Olympiad from 2014 through 2017.

She has served as a part of the Criminal Justice Action and Awareness organization since 2018. She has also served with the Student Leadership Information for Tomorrow group for two years.

As an avid volunteer, Samantha has served as Randolph County Teen Court Attoruney since 2015. She has volunteered fifty hours to the Key Club and has been a volunteer Camp Counselor. She was the Missions Committee Secretary at First United Methodist Church in Asheboro, North Carolina from 2014 to 2016.

Samantha won the Girl Scout Gold Award, the equivalent of an Eagle Scout in 2016. She then went on to win the Governor’s Award for Volunteerism. She attend the Governor’s School in 2017.

She has interests and hobbies in running, painting and baking.

With obvious outstanding leadership skills Samantha’s life goal is to become an attorney working with juveniles in family court.

Samantha’s Patriot Ancestor is Peter Craven from North Carolina.

She is presented by her parents, Charles Walker McCrary III and Shannon Hancock McCrary and her grandmother, Susan Noble McCrary.
