On April 21, 2024 in a ceremony at Mount Vernon, Elizabeth Johnston was installed as Senior State President of the North Carolina Society of the Children of the American Revolution for the 2024-2026 term of office. As Senior State President Elizabeth is the adult leader of the organization mentoring and working with the State President. Elizabeth has been actively involved in the C.A.R. for a number of years as a senior leader of the Isham Blake Society and in numerous senior leader roles in the North Carolina State Society.
Elizabeth Johnston is an Army Nurse Corps Veteran, mother of eight including three active duty children. When not busy with C.A.R. she volunteers as a BSA scout troop leader and district Eagle Board Chairman.
