Miss Sturm was presented by her parents, Mr. Jeffrey Douglas and Mrs. Jennifer Sturm. She was escorted by her father and Mr. Teague Johnson.
Jayden attended Coastal Christian High School in Wilmington, NC. Her high school GPA was 4.4. She currently attends UNC Wilmington where she carries a 4.0 GPA in her major of biology.
While in high school Jayden was very active. She belonged to the National Honor Society; the National Beta Club; the National Art Society; and, the Science Olympiad. She also held offices serving as Club Secretary of the National Beta Club and the National Art Honor Society. Jayden served as Student Body Secretary for all her years of high school. She was on the Homecoming Committee all four years; the Prom Committee when a Junior; and, she was the Conservation Project Committee Lead.
When a junior she received the ACSI DCHSS Fine Arts Award and the Coggin Brady Award for Conservation.
Jayden was on the Varsity Cheerleading Squad; a member of the Cheerleading Leadership Team; and, as a senior was the Captain of Varsity Cheerleading. Jayden was the Varsity Golf Team Captain and was a member of the Varsity Tennis Team.
Throughout high school Jayden volunteered to Outreach 360 and Hope Changes Everything Meal Prep to Haiti. She also went on a mission trip to Costa Rica.
She has worked for Lilly Pulitzer and Squigglies Ice Cream. Upon graduation from UNC Jayden plans to attend dental school with the hopes of becoming a pediatric dentist.
