Miss Bethany Bickett  Westbrook, Debutante, March 26, 2022

Miss Westbrook was presented by her parents Mr. Scott and Mrs. Janet Westbrook. She was escorted by her Father and Mr. Brian Yanes.

Bethany attended high school at Liberty Academy, Stanfield, NC where she graduated with a GPA of 3.95. She has also attended Liberty University and Stanly Community College (Online). Her college major is Theology and Apologetics. She maintains a college GPA of 3.9.

Miss Westbrook is a member of Chi Sigma Mu Honor Society and the Phi Beta Lamda National Honor Society. She is the current President of the Chi Sigma Mu Honor Society. She has also served as this society’s Secretary.

She has been a member of the American Heritage Girls; CHEA Classical Youth Choirs; Rise and Shine Community Theater; her church Youth Leadership Team; and, her Church Youth Praise Band as a bass guitarist. She was and continues to be a member of “Mission Control,” her church audio/visual team and IMAGE, her church Youth Drama Team.

Bethany has participated in a number of sports including basketball, soccer, softball, gymnastics, and dance. She practices DTS Krav Maga Self Defense.

She has been very active at the national level NSCAR serving as the current

National Museum Advisory Committee Chairman; National Convention Registration Chairman; and, on the National Dress Code Committee. She has also served as the National Societies in Foreign Countries Co-Chairman.

Bethany is the current North Carolina State Vice President. At the state level she has also served as the State Chaplain; State Registrar; the State Nominating Committee Chairman; and the State Membership Chairman.

She is a member of the North Carolina State Bylaws Committee and is the Chairman of the State Nominating Committee.

Bethany is a member of the Colonel Adam Alexander Society where she has been National Merit Award Chairman; Public Relations Chairman; Conservation Chairman; Leadership Development Chairman; National Merit Award Chairman; and, Public Relations Chairman.

She has been an avid volunteer with over 700 volunteer hours. She served on the Camp Carolina Planning Committee; the Camp Tillery Planning Committee; she was the Camp Tillery Head Cook; Personal Page to DAR State Regent Anna Choi at the District III Annual Meeting (2020); Personal Page to DAR State Regent Carole Weiss at the District III Annual Meeting (2019); Personal Page to DAR State Chaplain Janet Westbrook at the North Carolina Daughters of the American Revolution State Conference (2018); and, she has been involved with Samaritan’s Purse / Operation Christmas Child for the past five years.

Among Bethany’s honors and awards are the DAR State Regent’s/SAR State President’s Outstanding C.A.R. Member for 2021; the DAR Youth Citizenship Award for the past four years; the Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award over the past four years; American Heritage Girls Stars and Stripes Award Recipient #757; the American Heritage Girls Dolley Madison Award and the Chi Sigma Mu Honor Society Most Outstanding Member for 2021. Bethany hopes to complete a Doctorate Degree in Theology and to finish her flight training to become a commercial airline pilot.
