Savannah Caroline Gibson, Debutante, March 23, 2019

Miss Gibson joins us from the Joel Lane Society where she has served as President, Vice-President and Historian. Savannah has also served at the state level as N.C.S.C.A.R. State Curator, Conservation Chairman and Public Relations Chairman.

Savannah attended Saint Mary’s School in Raleigh, North Carolina where she graduated high school with a 3.86 GPA. She now attends the University of North Carolina – Wilmington where she is majoring in Communication Studies with a 3.945 GPA.

She is a member of the Colonel Polk Chapter DAR, Club Gymnastics, and the UNC-W Dance Company. She has also been a member of the International Thesbian Society, Orchesis Dance Theatre and the Genesius Players.

Savannah’s interests are in music, dance and gymnastics. As for her future, she hopes to go to graduate school, potentially for International Marketing.

Miss Gibson is wearing her grandmother’s wedding dress for her presentation.

Her Patriot Ancestor is Keating Simons from South Carolina.

Savannah is presented by her parents, Robert Wilson Gibson and Jennifer Plemmons Turnage and her grandparents, the late Dean Carroll Plemmons, Bobby Lee Gibson, Margaret Plemmons Foster and Iva Elizabeth Gibson.
