Rebecca Bottoms, 2016-2018 Senior State President

Rebecca Bottoms is the Senior President of the North Carolina Society of the Children of the American Revolution for the 2016-2018 term. She has been involved in the C.A.R. for the last 20 years, first as a supportive parent, then getting active in the local society, and finally serving on the state level.
Mrs. Bottoms has served as a C.A.R. local Senior Society President, Senior State Chairman, Senior State Officer, and now as Senior State President. She is also involved in the D.A.R., having served as a Chapter Officer, Chapter Regent, State Chairman, as well as a State Officer.
Mrs. Bottoms spent 27 years teaching in the high school classroom before moving onto the college level. Presently, she works in the Student Services Department at Piedmont International University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, serving as Dean of Women as well as a Speech professor.
Mrs. Bottoms has two sons, both of which were very active in the C.A.R. but now have aged out. She has two young granddaughters and looks forward to getting them involved in the C.A.R.
