Georgia Ditmore, Debutante, March 2011

Miss Georgia Ditmore is a member of the Joel Lane Society in Raleigh, where she has served as Society President and Registrar. On the State level she has served as State National President’s Project Chair and is the current State Recording Secretary. She previously received the Outstanding Chairman award. She recently was awarded the DAR Good Citizen Award from the Caswell Nash DAR Society. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Todd Ditmore.

Miss Ditmore is a senior at Millbrook High School in Raleigh, where she is an AP Scholar with exemplary Achievement on the AP Exams. She is in the top 5% of her class and so served as Junior Marshal and in a member of the National Honor Society. Georgia is a clarinet player and has performed in three musicals, is a member of the Marching and Pep Band. She is also on the Varsity Volleyball team. For 3 years she has been a member of the Student Government Association and served on their Executive Board

Georgia would like to honor her Revolutionary Ancestor John Sharp who was drafted into the militia in the fall of 1781.
