Catherine Horne was proud to join the North Carolina Zoological Society in supporting the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center at the North Carolina Zoo. The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center takes in animals that have been injured and nurses them back to health with the goal of releasing them back into the wild. The center helps owls, turtles, snakes, tigers, squirrels, and other small animals. The center rescues about 1,000 animals a year and has veterinarians on site who operate on injured animals and nurse them back to health. Her theme Preserve America’s Future was taken up by members across North Carolina.
