Miss Scarborough is the President of the Kingston Society in Kinston and is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Benjamin F. Scarborough, III of Kingston.
Amanda is a Junior at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina where she is a member of Beta Alpha Psi (National Accounting Honor Society); and been on Honor Roll or Deans List every semester. She is President of the Student Accounting Society. She plans to graduate from East Carolina University in May of 2009 with a combined BSA/MSA degree. After receiving her degree she hopes to sit for the CPA exam and work as an auditor for an auditing firm. Amanda is a member of Gordon Street Christian Church where she has played hand bells in the Sanctuary Bell Choir for the past 13 years.
Amanda would like to honor her Revolutionary ancestor Michael Becton of North Carolina. He assisted in establishing American Independence, while acting in the capacity of being appointed on June 13, 1778 to serve on Petit Jury and appointed to a juror at the next term of court.
