Miss Kathryn Lattimore is a member of Isaac Hunter’s Tavern Society in Garner and is the daughter of Mr. William T. & Dr. Pax M. Lattimore of Raleigh.
Miss Lattimore has served as a Floor Page during the State DAR Conference.
Miss Lattimore is a senior at Duke University in Durham. She will be graduating in May with a Batchelor of Science Degree in Biology with a concentration in neuroscience. At Duke University Medical Center Kathryn volunteers as a Best Buddy in the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Unit Duke and is a Scholar in Collegiate Athlete Pre-Medical Experience at the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center. Kathryn is also a published researcher in the field of neuro-oncology. After graduation she will be working full time in the lab of Dr. Jeremy Rich where she will be doing pre-clinical research in the field of neuro-oncology. Kathryn will be participating in a 6-week clinical internship at Duke Also, she will be teaching the MCAT for Kaplan Test Prep. Future plans include applying to medical school to pursue a specialty in neuro-oncology.
Tonight Kathryn is honoring her Revolutionary ancestor John Lattimore from Virginia. He was a private in the South Carolina Militia was wounded at Battle of Kings Mountain.
This evening Kathryn is being presented by her father Mr. William T. Lattimore, member of the Sons of the Revolution and SCV.
